Blue Lan

Musical journey & creative background

Lan Haipeng began his guitar career in 1994 and works across electric guitar, acoustic guitar, arranging and education. His teaching materials cover electric and acoustic guitar and ukulele; performances and masterclasses bring that experience to audiences in different cities.

Repertoire & listening guide

Number Six, 南风 and Music Area provide an introduction to his originals. Gladiator and the guitar-and-guzheng collaboration Against the Current offer different instrumental settings. Compare these with arrangements of Hotel California and Human Nature, following the roles of melody and accompaniment.

Complete album catalogue and instrumental work

His catalogue also includes a fourth instrumental album, 春思秋语, released in September 2021. KEPMA’s official brochure describes it as a fingerstyle album with a medieval flavour. It completes the four-album sequence alongside Number Six, South Wind and Music Area.

MOOER’s artist profile also records that his original piece 您的模样 was selected as a built-in vivo phone ringtone, an example of his instrumental work reaching listeners beyond album releases.
